Containers are becoming a popular choice as the first port of call for producing self-contained biomass boiler houses. Biomass boilers are often required by Churches, schools and other county buildings where budgets and planning regulations do not allow for new structures to be erected. This means a need to have the availability to convert the standard steel shipping container into a custom built structure suitable for housing the biomass boiler.
Sometimes it is just too difficult to fit all the parts you need into just a single unit, or maybe you would prefer different units to have their own purpose but access to all units through a central doorway.
This can be true of site offices were a ‘reception’ unit will lead through to offices, meeting rooms, toilets and induction rooms. This is especially required for stacked units where the first floor units are linked to allow single point access but all units can be accessed from this central point.
One of the most common request is to convert containers to mobile site offices, canteens and toilet blocks.
We normally fit steel personnel doors into the sidewalls of the container. But as we fabricate each order to your requirements the position of doors and windows can be modified, without any extra cost to yourselves as long as the quantities don’t change
You can have extra windows fitted or even doors to suit your requirements and the windows we supply are fitted with security shutters that make the unit more vandal resistant.
The internal lining of the units are normally beige melamine on top of studding, insulation is provided by SuperGlass mineral wool.
Electrics are normally included and depending of the type of unit vary greatly. We normally fit the electrics as surface mounted in white conduit with trunking for distribution.

The size of the container can be increased by linking them together and also by stacking them. So if a 40ft x 8ft wide space is not enough, you are able to expand the width by multiples of 8ft. This can of course be adopted for 20ft units as well, or even bespoke 30ft units.
ATEX Electrical installations are normally required for COSHH stores where highly volatile hazardous substances are being stored.
ATEX is normally classed as either Zone 1 or Zone 2, the zoning which is applicable to your COSHH store is down you as our client to advise as you have the knowledge of how the COSHH store will be used and the products to be stored.

As part of the ATEX install we can also organise an independent assessor to attend our site to inspect the units and issue a DSEAR certification, which some insurance companies may require.
Our data room containers have been specifically designed for the mobile or temporary use of IT systems. Ideal for use during conversion and expansion work and when relocating your IT. The system can also be used as a permanent IT or server room or as a main or backup data centre.
Even the basic version of the container data centre is a fully functional system. Suitable optional packages can be added to the basic model.
Minor modifications can entail just a couple of extra vents or a door. These are normally small changes to the container and therefore are not considered conversions.

We can manufacture bespoke shelving to your specific requirement, as we have our own fabrication teams, the depth, distance between shelves and type of shelving itself (steel or wood). The length of the shelving and position can be adjusted to your exact requirements. We can however if required also fit standard shelving from online retailers to meet your needs or specific requirement.
As part of the extensive services we offer, we can plywood line the interior of the containers and insulate to help with any condensation issues. The depth of the plywood can be decided on what use the container might have - thinner plywood for just keeping the insulation tied in or thicker to allow items to be screwed or nailed to the plywood. The insulation depth can also be altered to suit your needs or for a specific U-Value requirement.
There are a number of occasions where access though the cargo doors is not the most appropriate means of access to the container. This is where fitting a Personnel door can be attractive to the end user. Personnel doors come in several different sizes, including Disabled width. They are normally multi-point locking steel doors so the integrity of the containers strength is not compromised. We also have the capability to fit Anti-Vandal Shuttered windows for the areas where security might be an issue but daylight during normal hours is required.
uPVC and Aluminium double glazed windows and doors are also available, including fitting of Bi-Fold doors, the usual options with these type of windows are available.
As we have a fully qualified (to 17th Edition) electrical team on premises we can also offer a bespoke electrical installation to your Store, Office or Canteen etc..
This includes but is not limited to LED lighting, metal clad sockets and switches, consumer units, power inlets, heaters, hand dryers, down flows, water heaters, air conditioning including 3-phase installations.
With our purpose built spray booth on site that can handle up to 2 x 40ft containers at a time, we are also in a position to be able to offer specialist spray jobs. If you have a RAL colour or BS colour we can normally order paint mixed to that colour code for you, maybe to match corporate colours, or an adjacent building to blend the container into the scene.
We can also spray elaborate multi-colour designs if this is desired.
