Cladded Container Bar

A simple 20ft container converted for a customer who needed a unit for 2 uses, sometimes required as just a basic store. Then sometimes they wanted to use it for an office space. So we fitted 2 windows with steel security shutters and fitted an anti-vandal steel personnel door for easier access, especially when being used as an office, but we also left the cargo doors in place for when the unit becomes a store so large items could still be put inside the container. It was fully plywood lined and insulated in 50mm Rockwool. And we installed electrics including lighting, heating and plug sockets. Finally, the unit was painted externally RAL 6007.

  • New 20ft standard container
  • 2 aluminium sliding windows with steel security shutters
  • 1 steel personnel door with a 10-point locking mechanism
  • Internally 9mm ply lined
  • Insulated in 50mm Rockwool
  • Surface-mounted electrics with lighting heating socket outlets with consumer unit and external isolator
  • Externally painted RAL 6007

20ft Flat Steel Cladded COSHH Store

20ft x 8ft Container converted into COSHH store to store Fuels. Cladded externally in mild steel flat plate to make the unit look more aesthetically pleasing. The customer was not keen on the corrugated finish of a shipping container but wanted to keep the strength and structure an ISO container offers, so instead of custom building a cabin from flat plate, we decided to overlay the corrugations in flat plate. We also custom built a flat plated wall to bolt over the cargo doors when they are not in use. Unit internally had a 120mm steel bund with fully welded anti slip durbar steel floor. With heavy duty 10mm wall thickness steel track installed to take the customers fuel tanks, aluminium louver vents fitted for good ventilation. Container finished in zinfos 800 container paint bright white internally and externally.

  • New 20ft standard container
  • Walls cladded externally in flat steel plate
  • Fabricated bolt able wall to go over cargo doors (again flat steel)

High Cube 24ftx20ft Store

Large storage unit created from custom-built corrugated high cube cabins, each unit 24ft long x 10ft wide to create a 24ft x 20ft unit on site. The units were linked by a goal post weather tightening system which is a quick and easy cost-effective way of linking containers provided the units have small openings. These are a brilliant way to link containers especially if they are being moved around a lot from site to site as they are simple to assemble and dismantle as opposed to welding cabins together. These two storage units are being used on building site up and down the country for a bricklaying company. Internally lined in plywood and insulated in rockwool and 18mm plywood floor installed. Using high cube wall panels giving our customer an extra foot in height compared to a standard size cabin, we also installed a set of high cube container doors to each cabin with steel lock boxes to ensure the containers were vandal proof. Externally painted in blue and delivered to the first site by Universal to demonstrate to our customer how the goal post system worked. The client was so please with these they asked us to build another 3 sets of them to expand their fleet.

  • 2x custom built high cube corrugated cabins both 24ft x 10ft
  • Both 2 be linked on site via 2 walkway apertures with goalpost system
  • Both to have large high cube 8ft wide shipping container doors
  • Internally both units 9mm plywood lined and insulated in 50mm Rockwool over a CLS timber frame
  • Insulated in 50mm Rockwool

  • Delivered and linked together on site

40ft Roller Shutter Container

New 40ft container conversion for a truck stope in Yorkshire, Split into 4 bays by solid steel partition walls. Each room had its own purpose for the trucks, 1 was a diesel fuel pump, 1 with screen wash and ad blue, 1 with a steam cleaning jet wash and the final room was just a store to keep stock in. Each room had its own entrance, we utilised the standard cargo doors for one entrance then 2 had manually operated galvanised roller shutters whilst the last room had a large electrically operated roller shutter. Finally, we painted where we had worked back to the original container colour blue, which saved our customer money as they wanted it blue anyway and it is a standard container colour.

  • New 40ft standard container
  • Cargo doors as standard on one 8ft end
  • 1 large electrically operated galvanised roller shutter (you will need to get power to this on site)
  • 2 small manually operated galvanised roller shutters
  • 3 steel partitions skinned on one side only painted light grey
  • Externally container painted where worked back to original container colour
