Shipping Container Safety Convention (CSC) Plates

Maintain your container’s CSC approval and validity with plates that last up to 30 months after a successful inspection.

A CSC plate proves your container has been inspected and is safe and ready to ship. Without this you’ll come up against problems at ports and in transit. All new ISO shipping containers have a valid CSC for five years from the date of production, but used containers may not have this. There are two inspection schemes to choose from:

Periodic Examination Scheme (PES)

Containers are given a CSC plate for a maximum of 30 months after an inspection. This will be listed on a sticker showing the date of the last inspection and when the next inspection is due.

Automatic Continuous Examination Program (ACEP)

This is the scheme for you if your containers are regularly repaired and inspected. Every time you check your containers over for signs of damage or wear, you can enter this as an inspection and your container remains valid. Your CSC plate won’t expire or need to be changed.
